Default CEL question

I just finished the turbo install. 450cc injectors and AFC. Car starts and runs fine. as soon as I start to build boost pressure the check eng light comes on. I clear code, start over, same deal. WTF?

91 CRX Si 1.6L.

Any Ideas?

Map controller seeing boost? I'm not familiar w/ the hack, but you might need some check valves in there. HTH.

if you are not sure, then you shouldn't give out false imformation like that, just don't say anything at all.
You don't need any checkvalve/missing link with the hack. What codes are you throwing? make sure you install the afc right.

MAP. Yep the AFC is wired correctly. I can drive the car all day if I dont let it spool and it will never throw a code. But, when I start building pressure, Its throws the code for the MAP

If you are running check valves than your not running "The hack". The point of the hack is too allow the map sensor to see boost. You are just bleeding the boost and using the VAFC to tune with, which is OK.

Are your fuel corrections set right?? What are they? If it's set too rich than your going to get a cel.
