i've just installed a turbo on my 96LS 5 days ago. just today, the cel light came on throwing codes 71, 72, 73, and 74. looking those codes up, it says misfire on cylinders 1-4. i just put in some NGK bkr7es-11's (.30 gap) and retarded the timing. don't have a timing light, so i retarded the timing just a little bit. anyone know what is causing this? please help!

btw, i'm running the safc hack with dsm 450's for now.

 

ok, i just went and drove the car...the battery needs to be changed badly, because the car seems to start kinda weakly. it idles like crap...but under normal driving, it doesn't feel like there is any misfiring. (drives smooth) anyone know what this could be?

 

my best guess is that ur running super rich at idle and part throttle w/ afc hack/450's. id reccomend hondata to solve that problem or get it tuned!

pull ur plugs and see if they are black.

 

anyone have anymore suggestions? also, what exactly needs to be done to run hondata on my car. obd1 ecu, conversion harness, and hondata...am i missing anything?

 

I agree with running rich, I drove my car with stock tune and 440's kinda hard to start idle like **** but once i got going it seemed to run ok. You have all you need for hondata.

any one you know have problems with rings sent with je pistons?
