Default Advanced wideband tuning question.

Pretentious title? sorry...

Anyways, just got my wideband in. It has the ability to feed a narrowband output back to the ecu.

I will be eventually, after appropriate research, and test-bedding my cars, tuning other peoples cars. At which point it would be more convenient for me to remove their O2 sensor, and put my wideband in, and feed a narrowband via a x-over harness to their ecu.

Basically I'm saving the hassle of welding a secondary o2 bung/plug.

Now, any opinions on how the car will run on the tune, after I take my wideband->narrowband setup out, and replace it with the factory O2 sensor?

Thanks in advance guys.

i used the techedge kit which has the same NBout feature as yours does. i've kept the system in the car ever since i installed my forced induction setup. (actually i drove around with it NA for awhile because i was doing everything i could to prep the car to save time later). anyways, i decided to keep the wideband in the car because i like the re-assurance of being able to see my a/f all of the time, just in case one of the variables changed in my setup without me knowing. it works perfect and i would recommend this setup.

what phiz is talking about is actually tuning other peoples cars, not permanantly installing it in his.

Phiz...I dont' think going back to the stock 02 sensor will change anything. it's a narrowband output made only to tune for best fuel efficiency.

Albeit, the narrowband output 0-1v from the wideband is going to be 100x more accurate than what the stock 02 sensor is goign to give the ecu. I wouldn't worry about it.

ScrapinSI coined the phrase, and I love it. "NonData"
