Default car wont start now after clutch

Ok so here’s my problem. I have a full AFI kit on my ls/vtec and just smoked my act clutch and so I order a new one clutch. So I pull the tranny off take the clutch off while im in there I replace rear main seal for preventive maintenance. I get the new clutch installed tranny back on lower my car from the lift and now it doesn’t start. I've checked all plugs dizzy I’ve tried a couple I know they worked. I have spark fuel and the timing is dead nuts. so what would make my car not want to start? it just cranks and cranks. HELP ME

Yes the car has all new grounds. I have one on the back of the head ,one on the block itself, and one on the tranny . The one for the wire harness is perfect cleaned and tight. The thing is it ran perfect when I pulled trans. The only thing I touched besides trans is taking the neg. battery cable off. I’m so confused

weird, any cel's? does the cel turn off like it normally does when you turn the key to the on position? check the ecu fuses? does it smell like gas? or can you hear the fuel pump prime?

Fuel pump primes, the injectors are working fine (I think) plugs are drenched with fuel. I checked and replaced the backup fuse and the ecu fuse with new ones, so all fuses are good. Never ran into this been working on Hondas forever and this has me stumped. order new plugs to try.

so you have fuel, does it catch at all when cranking it or nothing at all? could something be causing it to flood?

ok the starter turns over the motor just seems to not want to fire. I'm going to try a new map sensor and main relay and plugs to see if that helps any. And i did a compression test on the motor before clutch install was 190 psi all the way across which should be perfect for my 9:1 compression ratio.

ok so here’s what I did last night after much debate on if the ecu was the problem. I unplugged m y p28 which is chip and tuned for my setup on Neptune. Plugged a stock pr4 ls ecu and boom starts up and ideals pretty good for having RC 750. so what would cause this. Did unhooking the negative terminal than hooking it back up do this?

disconnecting the battery shouldnt change it, but eitehr way the chip or ecu is messed up, get it to the tuner and have them reload the map if it still doesnt work maby the ecu is ****ed?

i know this probably wont be your problem but it happened to me ,my car used to be single cam with the o2 sensor at the front of the motor , i had extended the wires to the back to reach the b series o2 sensor. anyway when i did my clutch i got the wires crushed between the gearbox and the block , it was shorting the wires and blowing the ecu fuse everytime , car just cranked but didnt fire ,took me ages to figure it out . worth a look to make sure you aint got any wires trapped . good luck .

OK so I figured out my problem car would start and run rough with stock map but plug in the gm 3 bar wouldn't start. So I check the wiring where I used the junk tap-in connectors sure as shi# there’s my problem. So I went grabbed my trusty solder iron and shrink wrap and fixed it right.

yeah I avoid spider taps like the plague, especially in cars/engine bays, the vibration and moisture just wreak havoc on the connections and cause all kinds of problems. if I really need a disconnect in the engine bay i use insulated spade clips with di-electric grease and then heat shrink over that.
