car wont start
(I posted this in integra forum, figured you guys in the FI section would help since my gsr is turbo)
Ok heres the deal guys. I just finished puttin those cam gears on, perfectly timed on 0 deg etc.
My 96 obd2 turbo gsr isnt starting lemme give ya the run down.
I was tuned on some cruddy 310cc injectors, stock fpr, stock rail, stock fuel pump, stock cam gears.
I just put in: BDL cam gears, BDL Fuel Rail,RC440cc saturated injectors, AEM FPR, Russell Steel braided fuel line with fittings from fuel filter to rail.
I am putting the walbro 255lph fuel pump in tomorrow.
It was fine mainly before I put the rail and injectors in. It cranks but wont start, it sometimes will catch and idle at 200 for about a whole second then die.
I tried playin with the aem fpr, but each setting i put it at does ****.
I got no fuel leaks, I double checked.
What do I do? Does the stock fuel pump even support what i got?

Re: car wont start (DvD3)
check for fuel pressure adjust the screw on the fpr see if that does anything. try putting the stock injectors in and see if it fires up.

Re: car wont start (vaporboy12)
Put the 310cc injectors back in as well as the stock fpr, unless you have a fpr gauge than you can turn the key to the on positon to where you hear the fuel pump priming, adjust the pressure to 40psi and the car should start.

Re: car wont start (AbitAvenger)
yes i know, i dont know how to tune, and im gonna get it tuned once its running.
My car is tuned on a vafc2 and the only fuel settings i see modded from my last tune are "wide", nothing set in the "narrow". Also the throttle position or w/e is 10% on narrow and 50% wide.
if someone could tell me how to adjust the vafc2 for idle or somethin or gimme some sorta clue thatd be great, the tuner says he wont tune my car unless its running.... so this is kinda gay

I do not reccomend tuning with a VAFC, but its commen sense once you break it down.
You "hack" the computer/ecu basically. Since you are running larger injectors, you have to "take out" some fuel so it runs near stock at idle, and in boost, you take out alot less fuel, so you can actually take advantage of the large injectors and get more fuel in boost. So think, if you take out the 310's and add 440's, you need to take out a little bit more fuel on the entire map to make it run like it did with the 310's. You also need a fuel pressure gauge so you can dial fuel pressure in at 40psi. Goodluck, and check out some real engine management like neptune or uberdata (both cheap)

Get another tuner too, he sounds like a dick

Re: car wont start (AbitAvenger)
1. im picking up my fuel pressure guage today
2. im 2 steps ahead of u we are converting to uberdata, thats why i need to get the car running to his shop
3. the 310cc injectors are gay and dont seal, so they pop out now. the 310's are almost like fabricated around the area where it seals, so theres always one thats poppin out.

Re: car wont start (DvD3)
your running an fmu along w/ the hack? get rid of that thing. also, your spark plugs are probably soaked from trying to start up the car, clean your plugs or just buy new ones.
