--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it fires up normally then dies after 2-2.5 seconds. if i hit the throttle it kills it even faster.

im pretty sure its a fuel issue but idk, i have a new walbro fuel pump, new fuel filter, aem fpr, and its tuned on hondata s300.

anybody hvae this issue b4? and how can i fix it?

same problem faced me first when i started tuning my car with bigger injectors using crome,i had to adjust the injector offset and get good target a/f in order to make it stable,it was fuel problem yes,but may be your problem is just different than mine..take a look about your parameters for injectors and start from there ,do you have CEL?

did it just start, what were you doing? Is this a fresh tune. Kinda vague. Maybe put a stock fpr on.

mines doing the same thing... S300, new fuel pump filter, precision 1000cc injectors and all new sensors from honda, and no CEL. Will not idle, fully built engine , professionally built. But if you can get it to start i can keep it running, even had my tuner dyno tune it and still no idle. Made 460 whp on 18psi but will not idle and runs like crap at partial throttle.

its been tuned since september 14th, running not the best but running partial throttles arent perfect but im gonna clean them up in the spring when i get retuned to 20psi.

it could be the iacv! mine had to be relocated because there was no spot to put it on my venom intake so its just chillen ziptied underneath it out of the line of sight.

but why would it just wake up one day and say screw you brad im not going to start! its been starting fine since tune... only difference was it was 5 degrees that night and all the other nights its been 15-20... p.s. i only run 2.5psi on the car in the winter, god does it hurt to drive it around with like 135whp

More than likely post start fuel compensation in Hondata, not putting enough fuel in after the car fires up. Try upping the percentage and see if that fixes the super cold start problem.

or post start is to high. i know in the cold my post start has to be negative. get it to a reputable tuner and have them look at it if your unsure. sounds like its either to rich or to lean to idle OR you have a bad sensor somewhere.

I know my friends car that i tuned had somethign of the same issue and turned out to be a bad map sensor. it was fine for boost but part throttle and idle was all screwed up. try it out. very easy fix if its the case

with hondata when you start tuning before you even make pulls you should get teh car running and idle idk why they wouldnt do so. but if your unsure follow the tutorial in the help section in the hondata software it will walk you through how to make begining adjustments to keep the car running at idle.

the cars been running fine at idle before this incident
-950 rpm
-afr's are between 12xx-13xx, is that normal for them to very that much?

the day i tried starting it was cold, like 5 degrees the night before, now its in the 30's and it still wont start.

i wouldnt doubt the post start could be to high >.< cuz sometimes when i start it when its really cold the afr's sit at like 10.5 until the car idles for a bit then they work their way back up to 13ish.

sorry i know very little about tuning a car, and when my car was tuned it was tuned for wot and idle only because i was having issues with my tps reading below 1/4 throttle. i just know when im cruising down the road out in vacuum im around 15 afr, but as soon as it creeps into boost it goes straight to 11.5-12, and again at idle its at 12xx-13xx

im really getting annoyed of this problem! lol... thanks for the input though, i think were getting closer.

When an engine is very cold you have to put in a lot of fuel in order for it to atomize correctly and ignite, which is why you are 10.5 during a cold start. That's normal.

I say it probably needs more because when you give it gas it dies. I know mine is around 5% and my car has never failed to start once.
