car sputters while cruising
Car start and idles fine, when I go to accelerate it pulls through the gears good. But while cruising at the speed limit, the car would sputter like it is misfiring. I put new spark plugs in the car but not sure if I had gap them right. Don't know if it makes a difference but my little boy had tamper with my boost controller, turning it up and down. Info on my kit, I bought this kit off of a friends cars. He was tuned on 12psi on a stock itr motor. I bolted everything up to my car stock gsr with his tuned chip. I know i need a retune, but I just want to be able to drive around daily without worrying. Has anyone encounter this before?
The kit consist of:
inlinePRO ss manifold
ITS 60-1 dual ball bearing
Tial 38mm wastegate
Greddy 24 intercooler
1000cc RC injectors with resistor box
Greddy type RS bov
Walbro 255lph hp fuel pump
Turbosmart GBCV boost controller

Theres your answer you said it yourself. Id get it tuned as soon as possible to not risk hurting your engine even more.

Well my car is tuned, but never got street tuned and I'm pretty sure the "tip-in" is what needs to be adjusted on my car. Mine idles fine also and slams gears fine (wideband guage reads a little rich), but I get that sputter/hesistation cruising if I don't drive the gas pedal JUUUST right...but it reads full lean when it sputters like that. I need a street tune and I'll be fine, but I have a feeling you have the same problem I have.
If I were you, in the mean time if you need to drive and don't have a tune, I'd get a wideband and make sure your running with enough fuel...like I said if I cruise/drive the car just right, I can keep it from sputtering and the A/F's around 14.5 or so

I think i'm just gonna let it sit until I have enough to get a tune. I'm afraid of blowing the motor and not even get to enjoy it.
I want to drive it so bad, will going with smaller injectors help with the fuel? Because my car gets flooded and is hard to start.
