car dyno'd
With all the info here on h-t, i pieced together my own turbo kit for my GSR. I'm pretty happy with the results.
Garrett T3 turbo
turbonetics wastegate
Greddy Type RS bov
Precision intercooler
dsm 450 injectors
walbro 255 fuel pump
log manifold
fast-turbo oil line kit
tuned with Uberdata
219 @ 5 psi

12.5 isn't bad at all. It does look like he's at 13.0:1 though and you should richen that up a little.

Yeah back in 2000 when the concepts of conservative timing and running rich for safety/longevity didn't exist yet.

haha, i do agree that the tune is a little on the lean side, but it would be "ok" to have in a dyno condition, where everything is monitored. It is a good bit lean especially in spool up and lower RPM, i would be a little concerned with that. I wouldn't let a car leave the dyno that lean.

how are the dsm injectors? People kept telling me not to get them because it will make your car run like **** but I would also talk to people who said they work fine. Does the car idle like stock?

Who have you been talking to??
Tons of people use DSM 450s in hondas with no problems. I've used them in three personal turbo setups and never had a problem with them.
In fact, I don't think I know anyone that has had a problem getting them to work.

my dsm injectors would cause some trouble on startup ans slighltly lean at part throttle. i didnt think anything of it though because the car ran fine, and i thought there is differences from having a stock tune with a turbo tune. things will run different for sure. but then i read a post somewhere that dsm injector causes the startup troubles and part throttle leanness. and those were exactly what i had happening.

12.5:1 is fine for 5lbs - 6lbs. Looking harder is actually looks like 13:1 - 12.8:1 at the beginning, 12.5:1 in areas, 12.3:1 in areas and 12:1 up top. And why didnt you go for more power ?

I'm assuming since he dynoed @ 5psi, that he's running off the wastegate spring.
I wonder how quick that T3 spools at?

Right now its just street tuned and I just wanted to run 5psi just to be safe for now. The place that did the dyno run, they only know how to use aem, crome, and hondata. I'm using uberdata and they want me to get rid of that so they can use crome.

The dsm injectors are working great. It actually idles better than stock most of the time, but sometimes I'll get fluctuations bet it goes away after doing that a few times.

I had someone else tune it, but when i went to the shop to get it dyno'd they tell me after the session that I'm running a little lean. I asked them how much it would cost and when they could do it, they tell me they could have done it while it was on the dyno. So basically, they got me for $75 just for the dyno run and now I'll have to make another appointment and pay $200 an hour, when they could have done it right then and saved me $75. I get paid next week so I'll go back and get it retuned on the dyno and maybe I'll end up with a little higher numbers.

If that's all you need, just take it to someone that knows how to tune, and let them richen it up for you on the current chip you have.
