Default Car smokes??? Help

I just rebuilt my b18b 367 miles ago when i come from a stop it lets out a puff of smoke my buddy says that's because the rings aren't fully seated any opinions or suggestions also when i remove the spark plugs there is a coat of oil on the piston tops??????

I agree w/ ur buddie. but they should have seated by now. i would think.

did u rebuild with stock parts?

no ross pistons and eagle rods and (total seal rings(i don't want to hear it)

I know you dont want to hear it, but i bet its those total seal rings. pull the head off, rehone, and throw in a good set of rings, then go seat those bad boys.

also what is a good ring set to go with the car sees alot of boost 16psi+

I am not using stock pistons i am using ross 8.5 compression pistons.

I am not using stock pistons i am using ross 8.5 compression pistons.
so u can still use a stock ring if u got the 81mm bore

i had total seal for about a week smoke smoke smoke the the comp test came out good its the oil ring they use it wont seal
