car barely idles and shuts off after I pump gas..wth?
Hi, my friend just his turbo installed on his 00 civic with b18c swap.
He upgraded to a walbro fuel pump, fuel rail, ignitions, regulator except his injectors. It is still stock. Everytime he goes to pump gas. He turns on the ignition the car barely gets to idle and shuts off. It only happens right after he pumps gas. Anybody have any ideas on where should he be looking for?

What will that do? also if the evap is bad will it throw a code or could it be air in it?tx

Man this **** is driving me nuts!!!! the cars drives perfect, passes emissions but shuts off right after pumping gas in it. I could have a full tank and put 25cents in it and it shuts off wtf!!!

after filling the car full? if so, the charcoal canister has gas in it, when the purge solenoid is supposed to be allowing gas vapor, it is instead allowing raw gas into the intake manifold. Try unplugging the vapor line from the purge solenoid to the intake manifold to see if it is wet.

I've repaired a car with issue by replacing the gas cap. The cap wouldn't allow the system to build full set pressure after it was removed. I figured it out because of a TSB on the Chrysler 300m...they had that issue, and their gas cap was at fault.
How this relates to those that just did swaps is, you likely have pressure releases in the system. It won't cause a leakage of fuel (well, sometimes it will), but it makes it more difficult for the system to pressurize after opening the tank.
I'd replace the cap (cheap), then just tighten and check all the fuel system connections you broke when doing your swap or installing your setup. Replace any o-rings (injectors, fpr seat, etc).
Also, for any of you that just installed a fuel pump. The rubber gasket around where you access the fuel tank could be crimped or the plate improperly torqued. That will cause a small pressure bleed that takes the tank a minute or two to recover.
Either way, the problem is linked directly to a loss of pressure in the tank via some means.

read again...I made clarifications for some people. The cap was only cited as a source to pinpoint the issue.
Re-read my post.
The fact that you breached every aspect of your fuel system, confirms that that's what is creating the problem.
