Cant get the coolant temps down
Well i have been having a problem with my motor running alittle warm around 203-208. I do not have a thermostat. I have bleed the system 3 times everythings good there. It will get this warm when the rad fan kicks on it does not cool off for a long time. even when i am driving it still does not cool of that quick even with the fan on. **Note** this car is boosted.
I was kinda wondering if the intercooler is creating a pocket behind it not allwoing the air to go through the rad. Like a truck going down the road and having that pocket of air behind the cab. I havent a way to get the rad closer to the intercooler to maybe work it out of it is actually that
Thats the only thing that i can think of i could be. I am open to other things i could be Anyone have any other ideas?! if so id like to hear them
Thanks!

This could be the problem as the water or coolant is constantly flowing and not really getting a chance to cool down in the radiator.

?? oil temp or water temp?
My car idles at 180 oil temp. Driving around town is 220-230. And on track it hits 280. I'm worried about it going over 300. I think 208 is dandy.
I would suggest a mugen thermostat at least. I don't understand your reasoning for not running one.
Another option to get overall temps down is to get a 5-qrt morosso pan. I say a 10-deg reduction on my setup.

The car is only drove in summer. If i aint mistaken the thermostat is there to get the motor up to temp quicker. I usually let the car warm up before i drive it.

I couldnt imagine that the motor flows thats much to not givie ti some time to cool. even when driving im talking the temp drops a degree or two if that.

Its water temp. thats 203-208. I dont run a stat is the car only sees warm weather wouldn't mind the motor somewhat cooler then 200+* just seems warmer then usual espically when stock thermostats are 180*

So what if you let your car warm up? There's a reason why we have thermostats. Your cars tolerances are different from a cold motor to operating temperature, if your car is cold for a pro-longed period of time, overtime it promotes wear and obviously consumes alot more fuel (something else you dont want). I highly doubt you sit there and let your car idle for 10 minutes to warm up, if you do.. your a fool. Put in a $10 thermostat.. and upgrade to a double-core rad and you'll be fine.
running no thermostat will cause the engine to run hot. it will take a little longer to initially warm up but once it does finally reach max temp it will run on the hot side.
you need to slow the coolant flow down enough so that the heat is exchanged through the radiator. the thermostat provides that restriction to slow the coolant flow though the radiator to give it enough time to exchange the heat in the rad.
use a good 50/50 mix of coolant and try some redline water wetter or royal purple "purple ice" coolant additives. they do help.

Ok i can understand the thermostat slowing the flow. No how about the rad getting air being the intercooler is in front of it. Think that would cause a problem that they have about a 4" gap.
the intercooler wont make that much of a diffference to cause your problems. my friends with turbo vw's have their intercoolers mounted directly in front of the rad, covering most of it. no issues
ive also got my intercooler in front of my rad, covering the bottom 2/3 of it let's say. i dont have an issue. go to autozone and get a tstat. i got one the other day i think it was 17 bbucks
