Heater problem and slight overheating - cause?
okay, heres the symptoms. At idle the car will blow cool air with the heater on full blast and at the hot setting, and the temp will rise higher than it should be at. I asume the fan is not kicking on. When I drive around for a while the heater will start working again. and temp will go back to normal. Could this be air in the coolant system? thermo switch? thermostat?
thanks

well it aint overheating anymore, just when the car sits and idles for a while with the heat on, the temperature grows cooler and cooler until i drive around.

that could be a problem with your radiator fan... is it working? The engine temp will drop when driving b/c you've got cooler air flowing over the radiator... I'd check just to be sure that the fan is working.

my best bet would be, A- change thermo, B- replace fan, C-flush radi, that should fix it.. i dunno, but thats what i would do...
