The whole point of any unit like the AEM/Hondata is to avoid the "hack" items like a boost dependent FMU/missing link/check valves. You want the MAP to "read" the boost, so no, you don't need the Missing Link.

well i have run well over 1 bar for a few years now with just a missing link with no problems. i just purchased aem ems unit and was wondering if i could save a few dollar$ by not purchasing a new "map defensor" kit form inline and a gm 3 bar map sensor. i was just trying to cut a few corners to save myself the expense for a while. good enough reason?

take the money and buy a 3 bar map sensor, if you already have a missing link, sell it and buy a 3 bar map sensor.

yes ... but i dont think you can run the 3bar off the manifold wihtout something to cover the sensor hole like the map defensor. whitch incidentally comes with an adaptor plate.

just leave the old sensor on the manifold; and wire up the 3-bar to the wires.
i have a brand new gm 3-bar sitting here PM me if you're interested.
