Default can you run a turbo kit without boosting it??? bad explaination, look inside pls.

Ok basically i am wondering if i can fit a turbo kit along with full exhaust system and drive without boosting as it will not be tuned.
I want to install and then drive to the tuning garage, so on the drive i dont want to boost.

Is there a way of doing this? or is this just stupid... what do you guys do about fitting a turbo setup and then tuning? i have no base map or anything

Thanks

Josh

you will be fine to drive if you stay out of boost. Make sure you dont have your larger injectors in yet though without a basemap. Also you could take your wastegate spring out if you needed to so you wont boost anything.

Just open a charge pipe. Taking the wastegate is too much work when you can just unplug one side of the charge pipe.

You'll over-spin the turbo. This is not a good idea.

stock injectors, drive like an old lady, and if at allpossible, trailer it to the dyno.

If you don't give it throttle, it's not going to make boost. Ensure you shift at low RPM's and don't give it more than maybe half throttle and you'll be fine.

When I put my turbo system on I drove it for two weeks on stock injectors because I got scammed on my 450s.

I just burned a temporary stock base map and stayed out of boost. It wasn't really all that hard to do.

And yeah, definately don't unhook a charge pipe, you don't want to overspin your turbo.
