Yes.

And it caused my car to overheat.....
(the overflow bottle would over flow)

Hate to bring back an old thread....but was hoping to get some "opinions" on my current situation..and this thread was titled perfectly.

Motor is a B18C1. I DO NOT have access to do a leakdown test

Bad Symptoms
-Idle at 5000K plus and it does not go down.
-White~ish smoke coming out of tailpipe.
-Coolant coming out of tailpipe
-Oil coming out of tailpipe.

What i've tested
-Compression tested and 240 in all four cylinders.
-1st set of plugs pulled were completely covered in white "something" on the tip as well as all around the base of the plug.

How it all started.
-Bought Skunk2 Intake Manifold.
-Removed factory intake manifold.
-Didn't change out intake manifold gasket.
-Didn't realize part of intake gasket broke off. Lower section towards distributor side right under the coolant port.
-Reinstalled everything.
-Started it up, idled very bad......ran about 10 seconds or so. I did this like three to four times.
-Reason i kept starting it was because initially i thought i may of swapped plugs on accident like the TPS, MAP, etc. But those checked out.
-Then i noticed coolant spewing out from behind intake manifold under the coolant port.
-Went back and looked at my factory intake mani and thats where i noticed part of the mani gasket was stuck to.
-Out of curiousity i pulled the #4 spark plug and looked in w/ a flashlight and notice that there was coolant all in the cylinder about ~2mm. or so worth of it.
-Stopped for the night....waited till the next day to let all the coolant seep out.
-I drained the oil and refilled it.
-I also added a Hondata Intake Mani Gasket.
-Hook everything back up and this is where i am.

I would like any comments please.....I don't expect anyone to fix this "over the internet," I have some of my friends trying their best to give me ideas over here. But i know alot members here know their stuff and maybe, Just maybe this might sound like something you've encountered in the past.

Well this leads me to believe blown headgasket. Are you sure the coolant port on the manifold isnt leaking into the cylinder head?? Make sure you have everything torqued down properly

Why would you not replace the intake manifold gasket?!?

Just didn't dawn on me at the time......guess i was too anxious to put on the manifold. But to help ease the pain of my mistake i went ahead and bought the hondata heatshield......

start by taking the manifold BACK off and putting a GOOD gasket on. Also, scrape the head surface and manifold surface clean.

toss a fe thin beads of silicon on both sides of the gasket around the cooling areas and slap it back on.

pull the plugs and crank the engine over a little to blow everything out and install fresh plugs and crank it up and see what happens.

sounds like you had a combination coolant leak/vacuum leak.

as for the oil, I dunno. did the oil in the pan look like chocolate milk?

maybe a cracked head between the valves?? this is what my current problem with my explorer is. pulled the head off yesterday and pulled the valves out of it and DAMN did I ever crack that head haha.

alright fellas....i found out what it was. since it was dark when i was originally working on it....i didn't realize i didn't scrape off all of the original intake manifold gasket. so after about an hour and a half of scraping, got it all off put back together and all is well now.
