can someone measure there tial spring?
hey guys. can u measure how big the tial spring it.
like diameter and length.
i assume the .5 bar is just a lower spring rate then the 1.5 and not actually longer?

I know the diameters are different between different springs, forgot about the length. I've got a couple springs in the shop i can measure for you later.
Here ya go :
Picture is of a Tial 40mm wastegate .45bar spring and .8bar spring (left to right)
.45bar - 1.875" diameter 3.375" length
.8bar - 2.355" diameter 4.100" length
.8bar is noticeably tighter wound than the .45bar
Hope that helps!

Ron not sure, i'd like to know too. I just keep my springs in seperate boxes so i don't get them mixed up. The springs don't have any kind of markings on them either and they are all red on the bottom and silver on the top so i can't really see any other way of distinguishing them from each other. Those suckers are tough to change out on the car while on the dyno!
Hehe, well in that case, does anyone know what the blue one is? i have a lil blue one for my big 46mm.. maybe someone can double check for me, I got the spring from a very good HT seller, but you can never be so sure, ya know..

The values after the color are in psi. For example i'm using a large red in my tial 40mm which is .8bar. According to that color chart it's 11.80psi which is right on the money.
