Can a Leaky/bad turbo cause a blown motor?
As the topic says, im just curious if a leaky or bad turbo could cause a motor to blow. If it can what exactly causes the motor to blow?

This is what took my first motor... The oil was leaking into the charge pipes and made its way into the #4 runner primarly. Just driving down the road one morning the check engine light went off and when I checked it later, it was a random misfire code on #4. Turns out the ring land cracked under no boost at all. This is what really turned me off to turbos.
