I can not get my intercooler tigged until next week, can I run non intercooled?? ls turbo @ 7 psi 3 degrees of retard base timming? Need a quick answer, have car apart in shop continue with install or go stock untill intercooler done.

dont run high boost without the intercooler, stay with around 4psi

 

Just use methanol as gas and you will be fine.

sure, just dont expect to run full boost. meaning DON'T FLOOR IT.

 

dood, you can run 7psi non-intercooled. as long as the ignition is backed off a bit and you have enough fuel it's all good, just not efficient. there are people that run alot more boost than that, non-intercooled (10+psi on hondas and I know of a guy that roadraces a dodge in a particular class where he can't add an intercooler, but can up the boost...he's running about 18psi!!!, which is crazy )

 

I ran a stock engine Integra LS at 7psi with no intercooler for a year with absolutely no problems. Fuel management was stock injectors with only a 12:1 Vortec FMU. I had the pedal to the floor and the engine to redline all the time. I have the piping if you want it (I just got an intercooler).
