can i run my car with turbo on and no charge pipes????
Im breaking in my built ZC in my 91 hatch and i have my full turbo system on. It's was to much of a pain in the *** to take everything off. So i was gonna take off the last chage pipe from the throttle body off, it's about 18iches long. That way there be a little backpressure but not much. I was wondering if this would hurt my new turbo, spinning free with almost no backpressure.
The reason being is that i'd like to rev it a little higher because it's hard to with the turbo on a not trying to get into boost. I don't wanna boost until i get some miles on my new engine.

This may be completely outlandish, it's just a free thought:
Why not remove that last charge pipe and put some kind of cap onto it with a hole in it? You could clamp it on with a hose clamp, it would provide the turbo with the necessary back pressure [but the hole would still allow the compressed air to escape] on the cold side, and it won't be feeding your engine any boost.
It may completely not work though...it's just something I thought of.
