Can i get As much feed back and possible no ragging on me just positive help
What's up people I'm Mike anyways
i have a 94 rs and im gonna boost it im buying a bolt on drag turbo kit im just wondering like if there are any others that boosted LS motors, and can help me out for stuff to pay close attention to while im doing this build.
Motor is the stock ls b18b1 165K miles stil has a Crap load of life in it i just did oil change and did a valve adjust she runs great as hell but i want more power enough to let tires lose and have fun
so im just wondering like will 440cc injectors be fine and what size fuel pump i should get and 7 psi will be fine right??? cause this is my daily driver i dont gotta drive to work hella far but i mean i want a car thats gonna last for awile till i feel like saving up the money to either drop the compression and rebuild it or just go gsr swap so any feed back will be great. Lets keep the feed back nice, dont be a dick and talk **** about my build and crap,
i will be getting 2.5 inch exhaust installed on the car once the turbo comes and getting ready to put it on im gonna keep my cat but eliminate my resinator will it still flow enough, or should i get a test pipe??? and run no cat or buy a used cat and hallow it out and keep my stock one so i can still un bolt everything and go smog the car when the time comes u know thanks
feed back appreciated
BUMP if u read and dont reply please
thanks

Yes, there are thousands, upon thousands, of boosted LS's.
buy good fuel management, and get a good tuner, and you will be happy. The search function is your friend, there are YEARS of info in that one key, make sure to search Archived posts.

Re: (fireman mike2288)
what is your horsepower goal? the trend that i've seen is ROUGHLY 1hp = 2cc injection. so if you want ~275hp go with at least 550cc injectors imo

440's will make around 280-300 on an ls motor.. more than enough for what you want
7psi with a drag kit, small exh and stock cat should get you a little over 200hp, maybe 220

You could probably just drop in some dsm blue top 450s..cheap and easy to find.
Good luck passing smog with that..guess you must know someone. I didn't, and got a ticket for expired registration. $880. I hate California. Good luck also not getting your car stolen in w sac, too..

I had the same setup at one point and I went with 550s. Its around the same price as 440s and leaves a little extra room for upgrades. I switched to a b16 head and upd the boost and didnt have to buy new injectors. A made 422 with a stock bottom end and arp head studs. I also ran open dp so ur a little more restricted. All I can say is spend the money wisely (good tune) and you will be set

dont waste your time boostin it if your not going to tune, a base map is only meant for driving to the dyno, its not designed to be boosted on. u are much more likely to have problems drivin around on a basemap then a fully tuned car.
boost and tune or leave it stock

is that supposed to be a joke? i know you said not to flame you but good lord man your on fire....
a basemap is not tuned, it is BASE-ically set for your set up so you can drive to get tuned. why would you think that getting it tuned would make it blow, that is the ABSOLUTE MOST IMPORTANT THING to keep it from blowing.....
get a walbro 255
dont use a cat if you want the most hp and best turbo spool
440's are ok for your goal
2.5" exhaust will be ok, bigger the better with boost but for your goals that is fine
it looks like you have a good list other than the tuning thing.
BTW i like the simpleness of your car, or how it looks at least, set that thing around 250 to the ground and that will be a sick little sleeper.

Re: (fireman mike2288)
they will fine tune every aspect of the ignition and fuel maps to YOUR car and your car only, they will tune the air fuel ratio, the timing retard per pound of boost, set a boost cut in case you overboost it will keep from blowin it and much more. a basemap is for anyone with said engine. a basemap is designed for your size engine basically but not for your setup or your conditions. so they work as well as a one size fits all because that is what they are, a tune is a custom tailored suit to your body so its perfect for you not the entire public.
think of it as "fine" tuning, thats what it is.
basemaps are getting better i think but their purpose is to get you up and running when you have gone outside the parameters that a stock ecu program can control. so you cant confidently trust that it will stay together using one. it might it might not.
