undecided motor swap!
hey guyss. my z6 has about 300,xxx miles on it and im plannin to get do a swap but i dont know which way i should go . i mean i dont want nothing too serious. i was thinkin bout goin ls-vtec but then i kinda wanna gsr now... if i go ls-v im pretty sure ill drop in a turbo as well.
i dont know what exactly you need to do ls-v.

Depends on your HP goals...
LS/Vtec's arn't that hard to build, but you have to do it right. If you know nothing about the build then I would recommend other options.
LS turbo is a great platform. Many people have pushed stock LS engines to 300whp. LS engines are cheap, and they have low compression stock, making them perfect for boost.
GSR is also a great start. This would allow more power NA, until you go turbo. GSR's also rev higher and of course have Vtec. Turbo applications typically go with an aftermarket IM, as the stock one utilizes butterfly's and doesn't flow that great.
Any thing more than 300whp and you are looking at building an engine, swapping, and going turbo.
