Cams for high boost applications???
Hey everyone, I'm just wanting to know what cams everyone is using for high boost applications? I'm running a gsr motor with the supertech valvetrain and was wondering if I should keep the stock gsr's or switch it up. I'd like to rev a little over stock since I'm running quite a large turbo, and it is going to spool late. Let me know, and thanks for the help.

It depends on if you upgrade your valvetrain or not.....if your valvetrain is stock...then keep it at the stock redline

Yeah I'm gonna be running the full supertech valvetrain, 1 size over valves, dual valve springs, and titanium retainers.

GSR/ITR is pretty much what you're going to hear. FYI, CTR is the same thing as 00-01 USDM ITR, so don't even bat an eye if you want to go thqat route, just order it.
I have a friend running the RM M20/M21 combo. The car hasn't seen a dyno, but going from GSR cams it wanted ~3% less fuel on the high cam until 7000, and 7500-9500 wanted ~4% more fuel. Power band is definitely high, and car feels healthy. 2.0/VTEC, T67, 15 psi on 93 pump FWIW.

If I keep my gsr cams, and just upgrade the valvetrain, will I still be able to take it up a little higher in RPM's, like say to 9k? Or do I absolutely need to get different cams?

With an upgraded valvetrain you can take it higher. Its a matter of if the GSR cams will make power up to 9k which they should.
