A/C lines: What to wrap them with to protect from turbo?
I'm sorry if this has been covered before, I couldn't find any topics on it when I searched and yes, I checked archive.
Do I just use header wrap like the DEI stuff? Where can I get something locally? I checked Vatozone and Dickount but all they had was exhause repair kits, and it didn't look like it came with much of the silver tape stuff.
Can I use the exhaus repair kit stuf?
Any other suggestions?

There is this like tin foil looking stuff you cna get from the autoparts store, i think it is the exhausr repair stuff. its just like a foil like shielding that goes over the lines.

I like this heat shield sleeve made by Taylor called fire sleeve.
http://store.summitracing.com/...=ecat
It has a gray or orange silicone outer covering. Has always worked great for my oil drain lines, AC lines, and anything else that is really close to the exhaust parts.
I also use DEI sleeving on other lines, that works pretty well also. But for anything that sees heavy heat conditions I stick to the Taylor sleeve.

Yea, I got that fire wrap stuff from AN plumbing for the oil return and feed line, but I need something to wrap the AC lines. I can't take them off to slip the fire wrap on to so I need somthing to literally wrap around them.
If the exhaust repair stuff will work, I'll go that route, I don't need a huge roll of this to do a header or anything, just where the ac lines are near the turbo.

DEI makes a sleeve that has a velcro opening along the length, donno the diameter sizes though. That might be more what you are looking for if you do not want to remove the lines.
