Default Is the BW S258 comparable to a

My turbo rebuild guy is supose to me making me a hybrid turbo. GT35R compressor housing and wheel, and a T3 82AR exhaust housing with a stage 5 turbine wheel. Well he is having trouble finding the 82ar housing cut for a stage five wheel, and I have a tunnig apaointment on saturday march 14th. Anyways..... He has offered me a BW S258 turbo with ETT, he say it has a 70ar exhaust housing but I think he meant 76 ar. Would the BW turbo be comparable the turbo I want built or not? I havent done a little resaerch on the BW but I really am not sure if the 2 compare.

Why not use a straight 35R? The stage 5 wheel doesnt flow as well 68mm UHP turbine. I can order the .82 housing for the Stage 5 wheel if you need, its not hard to get.

The S258 can be had in a .70 and .76 housings, but the .70 open housing is from Bullseye. Its a comparable turbo to a GT3076. The S362 is more similar to a GT35R.

My rebiuld guy just has the compressor housing not the whole turbo. I also told him I wanted the 82ar housing with the stage 5 wheel. Because my tuner told me I needed a turbo bigger than my 60-1 t3 if I was going to use my skunk2 pro1 cams.

How much for the housing with 4 bolt discharge, and how much for the wheel?

Does he have just the housing or the wheel also? Do you have the center cartridge also?

Edit: Are you going with a journal or ball bearing type?

Depends upon your HP goal. (you never stated this), because the .70A/R can work just as well, for about 500whp or so. It's similar to a GT3076R through to a GT35R, when pushed far enough. It can work just fine depending upon your needs.

It can make 550, but it will need to be pushed over 30psi, in order to do it. Its very comparable to a GT3076R, GT3082, and GT3582 all in one.

Blake, got the prices. Stage 5 wheel is $205 shipped, 4 bolt housing is $235 shipped. The 5 bolt housing is much more expensive, so I dont think you want that one.
