t3t04 turbo identification... and specs...
ok guys so i purchased a turbonetics turbocharger off of a fellow around here a few months back, put it on the car, never really measured the wheels, etc. just bolted it up...
he said it was a t3t04e 57 trim .63 hot side stage 3 wheel...
i NEVER payed attention... so i took some rough measurments... (roughly)
comp wheel:
ind: 1.9"
exd: 2.95"
exh wheel
ind: 1.9
exd: 2.25
compressor housing has a 2.75" inlet and the turbo has a 2.25 compressor outlet...
the exhaust housing DOES say .63 on it...
i jsut wanted ot make sure, im assuming this is a t3t04b s trim .63 hot side stage 1 wheel from an old drag kit??? the turbo has a blue backplate and turbonetics all over it so i know its authentic...
if i do have a t3t04b s trim, what kind of whp is it good to??? at hte moment its trapping 117mph in a full weigh 1992 cx hatch with 215/60-14 dr's... on 21psi...
im concidering switching back to my t3 60-1 with a stage 3 wheel, do any of you think i will benefit from that? my goal is 11.5@120+ and i dont htink this turbo will get me there!
ANY insight would be appreciated!

Re: t3t04 turbo identification... and specs... (coneheadsracing)
2.1 60 ft
5.2 330ft
7.9@94.6mph
12.06@117 mph
it seems to me that my 1/8 mile mph is GREAT compared to my 1/4... i expected to trap atleast 119 on an almost 95 mph 1/8 mile!!!
anyway, got ahold of the ever so popular ebay special t3t04e 57 trim turbo today, im gonna slap it on and try it out for ***** and giggles... i will be using an oil restrictor also... ive always been curious as to how bad these things relaly suck... so i guess we will see this week at thetrack...

Re: t3t04 turbo identification... and specs... (jarvis199)
On my old sohc turbo with a svo thunderbird garrett .48/.60 turbo. I was 13.6@100 at 10 psi, and 13.003 at 109 at 15 psi. That was on kuhmo 712 street tires though. 2.1 60's. I too would think you could get a little higher trap. If you can get your 60's below 2 that would be a big help with your overall goal.

That is a Stage 1 wheel, not Stage 3. And an S trim old school compressor wheel.
