Default Buying an IB GE Sleeved block and letting it sit for a few months - rust problems on the sleeves???

Hey Guys,
If I buy a GE sleeved GSR short block, built by Import Builders, and don't use it for a month or two will I have problems with rust? I know its no big deal if you just have a GE sleeved block sitting around as its easy to clean, but what if the bottom end is already assembled? Is it still easy to maintain, just chilling in my closet for one month+? I'm checking out all my options
Thanks

grease it, and cover w/ plastic, stick it somewhere that has AC

But what if rust does start to build up, what can be used to get the rust off.

WD-40 with a mild cloth works to get light surface rust removed. If you do coat the cylinders with WD-40 good, it should not rust.

I use mystery oil. When you get your block, coat it with this oil and you don't have to worry rust whatsoever. I got my block the other day. Got everything installed in the bottom end and I'm ready for the head for serious makeover.
