Default built gsr stays at 3k rpm

So just got my gsr built n boosted and I only have about 50 miles on it for break in and yesterday I was driving it and as I was shifting the car stood at 3k rpm and never went down unless I went in to gear but it still went up..I'm confused
I check for vacuum leaks
Checked for loose connections I haven't had a chance to check my tps but any ideas?

Only thing that would bring up your rpms is air getting into the engine. I would unplug the IAC or block it off and see if that's were the air is coming from.

sounds like an air leak to me. start the engine and spray around your vacuum lines and intake manifold and throttlebody with carb cleaner or brake clean and if the engine revs you will find your leak. if the engine doesnt rev then you have an IACV problem or the idle set screw on your throttlebody is set to high

Brake cleaner and Carb cleaner will actually cause the idle to lower and not raise... The other way around is with Starter Fluid; this isn't recomended due to it being flammable and there is hot exhaust parts.

thats a vacuum leak, yeh i know sometimes you think to yourself thats impossible, theres nothing that is visibly leaking, but it is, easiest way to find a leak is to get a can of carb cleaner and spray around all the areas that should be sealed, if the car noticeably changes in idle then you know that the cleaner is getting sucked in through that area along with air. I had the plugs that cover my supercharger bolts come out while driving and my car revved to WOT and wouldnt stop because the opening was right in front of the valves.
