built b18a/b or built b18c for turbo?

built b18a/b or built b18c for turbo?
i've heard the motors are pretty much the same once completely built... other then the b18c is vtec... with a turbo kit which motor would show better numbers when fully built... or would it pretty much be the same.. i'm interested in gettin one of these motors an building it an the puttin turbo on... but i don't know very much about them... so any suggestions would be helpful thanks

The B18C head flows way, way better than the LS head, and it's components are designed to rev much higher than an LS head, even when you upgrade the LS head there are critical differences that make the GSR that much better for high RPM's. A ported LS head is on par with a stock GSR/B16/ITR head, and even the biggest cams people run for LS'es are smaller than the stock VTEC cams.
At X amount of boost the VTEC motor will make a considerable amount more power than the LS.

red line of 10k.... damn thats impressive... yeah i thought the gsr motor would show better numbers... but i wanted to ask to be sure.... when rebuilding the b18c what parts should i use to replace the old ones for the best performance... an a ball park figure of how much it would cost to rebuild..... thanks.

make sure you have around 3 grand for just the short block, depending on if you plan on getting it sleeved or not
