Default Building a custom turbo

Hey guys, Forgive my ignorance in this post I am just starting to do the research for a turbo ap for my car so if I ask dumb questions forgive me, I am a poor radio dj and I dont have a lot of money so I want to do all the research first so I can lessen the risk of blowing my engine up. So please give me a little brake and I will try to not ask the dumb questions.

I found a parts list on the internet (from this websight) of the basic stuff I am going to need Manifold,Turbo, piping,FMU,BOV,wastgate,Intercooler , down pipe and oil lines (basicly thats it right ?)

Ok the questions, First off my engine is a Stock b16 hydro this car is my daily driver so I want to keep the boost at a leval where I can use it daily w/o worrie of blowing it up

How much boost can I safly run (6-7lbs) ?
What turbo should I use (t3-t4)?
What size intercooler should I use?
Do I need to get "Vtec Killer" Cams ?
Do I need a fuel pressure riser ?
do I need to beef up my engine (pistons, rods) ?
do I need a turbo timer ?
Is there anything else I have over looked ?
do I need to Lower my compression (stock 10.6 to 1) ?
Just so you know I plan on having a profesional install everything, Euro tec automotive in dothan alabama ... Good guys and very qualified but I want to be informed On whats going on .... Thanks Guys and sorry if I asked dumb ricer questions .... but please help

hehehe, im just ******* with ya. These questions are asked once every other day it seems, you came to the right place for finding answers though.

If you are looking to run 6-7psi, then the parts that come with the drag kit :
Garret T04/T3 high output Turbocharger
Custom Tubular Header or Integra Cast Manifold
Custom Downpipe
Large efficient front mount intercooler
Chrome intercooler and turbo piping
High Flow Bosche fuel pump
Vortech Fuel Management Unit
Greddy Blowoff valve
All necessary plumbing (oil lines, water lines.ect)
MAP bypass valves

Will be enough for you to do so. As far as intercooler, you wont need a huge one since you will just be boosting 6-7psi, look at other peoples intercooler's and youll get the idea. Keep your stock cams, any cam geared towars NA will not help you out with a turbo application. It can actually hinder performance due to its cam profile overlap. You will be fine on stock internals if you run 6-7psi. A turbo timer is good to have because it lets your turbo cool down properly while maintaining oil pressure supply to the turbo bearings while the turbo cools. It also prevents oil from coking up inside your oil lines. Stock compression on your b16a should be fine, i assume you own a civic Si?
