*PLEASE HELP*Build and Install done WHATS UP WITH THE IDLE
Picked up my car the friday of memorial day weekend. Picked it up went over the basics and the whole install that Dan *93lsivic* performed on my 00 Si turned on let it warmed up idled nicely at about 850rpms. oh by the way i am running AEM EMS. So i took it out boosted alittle bit things were running very nicely for a concervative street tune, a/f rations were readings were pretty good. so friday night by the time i got home it was idling really weird. A/F ratios bouncing between 14.7 then leaning out to 16.2 then going back up to 14.7-15.2 again. Sometimes i can get a nice reading of about 13.4-13.9 when sitting at a light for a while. Im concerned only cause i have no clue why it is doing this mostly because dan said it should be idling at 13.4-13.9. I have a feeling its idling like this because number one i havent had a dyno tune yet. oh yeah when i hit boost around 6 pounds it will get real rich, about 11.2. this that too rich to be boosting at 6psi? im sorry if this is kinda confusing to the more experienced people but im totally new to the forced induction world and kinda worried cause i dont feel like putting up with having to tear down my block and possibly have to replace new pistons. thanks for your time and sorry for the long story

Its a little on the rich side for cruising speeds and idle, you can get away with 16:1 afr's real easily while cruising. And i believe its kinda hard to control ur idle and cruising AFR's because it has a lot to do with closed loop and the o2 sensor. When your cruising it tries to use the o2 sensor also so the AFR's bounce a lot

zac, we'll get more tuning time when you come back after the profec is in. I still need to get some more street tuning in. Its a pita trying to tune while driving if you know what I mean....i will have someone with me so i can be in the passengers seat.

make sure the graph for your fuel map is FLAT all round your idle. same thing with ignition
on the table from 500-1500rpm and from around -8psi to -13psi make sure the values are identical or else the ecu will start to search and start correcting itself causing a shitty or surging idle
