i think what ur talking about is called "decking" the head. milling i sused to raise compression.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Bulldogg83 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you mill the head to make sure that the head is flat and even basically. Hi guys sorru for taking time to resond due to work and time difference over here, 710 hp is ALOT of power for stock internals and standard turbos certainll never heard of in the uk, i was imformed by a very very good tuner in the uk that with standard turbo,s over 1 bar the compressor will spin off the shaft even with steel internals cant go much more than 1.6 bar but he ho would love to see that skyline on a dyno. I do have pictures of my beast if anyone wants to host them you may do so my e- mail add is iainhunter67@msn.com and i will send you the pics to host it could you put it under a gtr heading. scorchio

decking is what you do to the block to ensure a good headgasket seal. When you have your head resurfaced to make sure its flat they mill it right?

i'm not 100% sure but when i had my headwork done i thought my mechanic said decking the head was to make sure it's flat and level. then he said he would mill my head to raise the compression ratio to 10.3
