Default Broken turbo...what to do.

My spare turbo is shot.......it was my crx's old turbo. I planned on putting it on my gsr...but when i pulled it, it was in much worse shape then i thought. The seals are leaking so it needs a rebuild no doubt....The compressor wheel is also shot. :\ Something obviously got in. Here are the pics:

So I've talked to a few people....and to get it rebuilt with a new compressor wheel would cost pretty close to what I could get one for brand new for. I would definetly be down for rebuilding the seals myself if i could get ahold of a compressor wheel at a good price. What you guys think? Anyone got any spare wheels?

So yeah, enough comments on the filter....no ****. Anyone have any info regarding my question? Thanks. I don't see any core fees on majastic's site.

If that's a T3, I know where you can get rebuilt center sections for $130...

I think most of that damage would have been avoided with even a mesh screen. This is a result of straight up open turbo...

Let this be a lesson to you.....I wasn't using a mesh screen.

Since everyone is so interested in why there was no filter I'll tell you the crazy story. I overtightend my hose clamp on the filter. After 2 years of boost/heat/vibration the filter's rubber wore through and the filter was hanging off. Great story huh? Not. So tony is right, it was straight no filter.

I wasn't aiming my post at you...it was to those who argued that mesh screens are the way to go.
