Fixed my plugs. Still having the same issue. Starting to think that now it has something to do woth boost solenoid. I can boost at wastegate pressure fine (9psi) to 12psi no problem. Anything over .85 it is breaking up. Fixed two vacuum lines that leaked and its worse than before? Any input

ordered new cap and rotor. Wires have under five hundred miles on them. Seeing as how boost is degrading more and more my next guess is that something is about to go and quick. Post back tomorrow with results.

Car never had this problem first year i had it. Then it did this changed plugs and wires and i went away for aout a thousand miles(Four Months). Now doing it again even after plugs changed.
Tuned by jeff evans so cant see tune being bad. But we will try cap and rotor and go from their.

stock distributor as far as i know. Are there better ones that bolt right on?

and whene i jst started it up it sounds like rattling and/or grinding in the distriutor??? Pulled cap nothing looked broke or loose. Should i look somewhere else in it???

if the dizzy has a red ash in it,the bearings are giving out. Probably time for a replacement.

Have you tried a tighter gap? 0.024"-0.022"?

could be an igniter or coil, also do you have an LS motor or something only 325whp at 16psi on a 30r with 290 ftlbs?

Time for an aftermarket ignition system to give better spark. Stock can work, but puts a lot of stress on the OEM ignitor and coil. That sounds like the cause of the break up. Not just plugs and wires.

Cap and rotor fixed it.

yup. ls motor. Now that this is fixed i can get a better clutch(this one is only good to 375 torque at the crank) and get another tune (some race gas). I was thinking about getting a vtec head but have another little one on the way so clutch and tune is all i can "afford".

If the problem comes back i will definitely be looking into a better ignition set up. It seems from what i read though that half the people it helps and the other half never get it to work properly. So until that road comes..........

Scratch that. Started doing it again. Guessing its probably the expensive part of the distributor.plugs look great. just started eating turds after an hour of jo riding (that i have not gotten to do in months). Going to get that on tomorrow and see how she turns out.

If it comes back just get another good stock dizzy. There is no need to throw your money away upgrading your ignition at the level your at. There is people making 600whp on stock ignition with no problems.

i agree. i'm making over 700 with stock ignition.

yeah chances are you could pick up another dizzy and have no problems for a long time at your power level. just make sure its an oem honda, not a dizzy king.

was way to excited and antsy earlier. went for another ridepaid attention and noticed a loud whistling sound.... HAd a pinch in my catch can lines. All good again. IF IT DOES POOP OUT AGAiN (i know everyone loves the feces lingo)I am def. going with oem honda. I was actually looking at the dizzy kings and WOW! they sound great. However after reading a few reviews off google.........i will go oem if need be. Til then

which fuel are you running? too little ignition timing, and or too wide spark plug gap could cause this in the tune. I've experience this while running E-85 with normal timing maps and plug gaps over 0.23. or check your wiring, I've spent 8 hours on the dyno last weekend trying to make 600whp and at around 500hp it keep breaking up at 7500rpm I keep changing spark plugs and gaps and adding timing to the ignition maps still did not fix it, gave up and started to play with the wires at the distributor while it was idling, found out I had a poor connection , fixed it made one more pull and bamm 620hp with no breakups to redline.
