i prefer the garrett cores, they seem to work by far better than anything else out there. if you dont want to fabricate your own end tanks check out some of the precision intercoolers since they use garrett cores.

The Apexi is an old skool Sivlia FMIC that kept the stock piping routing so some modding will be needed to work on a typical Honda setup.
PN 531-N005.
The core is 15" x 9" x 2.5"... $100 plus shipping

Re: brand name intercoolers (Dee)
doesn't jrc still utilize tube and fin cores? although they look nice, it will not cool air as fast/efficiently as a bar and plate design. and with people having such success with ebay intercoolers with bar and plate cores for similar pricing, jrc seems like a plan b.

Re: brand name intercoolers (khoalie)
your best bang for the buck would be to buy the intercoolers off of ebay. Just picked one up for 80.00+ shipping...28"x9"x3" it's a baddd mother suka.

There is only one thing wrong with those cheaper ebay intercoolers. Most people have good luck with them right off the bat, but after about a year they will start to have problems. They can develop pin hole leaks or they just don't follow very well any more. The reason for this is that after the heat treating process they intercooler and end tanks can have a dark grey or black look to them.. so they run them though an acid bath to take them back to the orignal color or then polish them. What happens is all of the acid doesn't get washed out and it just sits in the intercooler and slowly corrodes from the inside out.
Just thought I would share what I have learned.
