Default Intercooler brand matter?

I don't know if this question was asked before, but I'm soon in the market for boost. I just didn't know if it was worth it to spend the $700 for a Greddy intercooler over a Spearco for bout $400 or so. Can someone tell me if there's a big difference in between brands and what not? Thanks.

the main difference is GReddy, as well as other popular japanese manufacturers use a fin design for their IC's. Spearco and US manufacturers use a tubular design.

the difference is that the fin design needs the car to be moving for good cooling efficiency, where the tubular will cool efficiently regardless of moving or standing still.
