BOV and wastegate hoses
well i received my manual boost controller today, it has 2 ports for hoses, one it says to run to the wastegate, the other it says to run to a boost source, does this mean any vacuum source in my car?
You can use "any vacuum source", but I would *highly* suggest routing it on it's own line (with nothing T'd into it) straight to the intake manifold. There are 2 reasons for this:
1) It promotes faster wastegate response and can reduce/elminate boost spikes.
2) Insurance! What if whatever you have T'd with the wastegate suddenly breaks, causing the wastegate to see 3 psi even though there's 12 psi in the intake manifold? If 12 psi is the limit of your motor, then kiss that engine goodbye... It's just safer to have the wastegate isolated since it's the most important safety feature in the entire system IMO.
