Default BOV question

Im running a TD04H on a 96 LS. Im only boosting it around 8-10 psi. My problem is that even if I adjust the Blitz BOV all the way out Im still getting alot of compressor surge!! I checked the vacuum port and its good. I also pulled the valve off and made sure the plunger moves up and down freely. Is it possible that the spring is so stiff that it wont let the plunger come up even when its adjusted all the way out? Has anyone ever tried trimming the spring down to fix this? Thanks, any help will be greatly appreciated!

Check the diaphragm and where it mates with the body to make sure that there isn't a sealing issue. Vacuum is one of the toughest seals to get right. Especially when you need actuation to be fast. It might be a torn diaphragm or some leak in the assembly somewhere.
