bov placement
i notice in most honda turbo set ups the blow off valve is usually placed 6-10 inches away from the throttle body.. is there any particular reason for this? would i be able to place the blow off valve closer to the turbo maybe, or would that be a problem?
thanks
thanks
I'd like to know too. I want to place mine on the intercooler on the hot side near the compressor. I'm hoping to bleed off hot air that hasn't been cooled yet. I just have 2 concerns:
1. Do I have to worry about compressor surge ?
2. Is the longer Vacume line going to be to restrictive/slow ?

1. Nope... from the factory vw's have the bov on the hot side b4 the intercooler if i remember correctly
2. maybe, as long as you dont use too large of a vacuum line it shouldnt be a problem
