BOV/BYPASS VALVE?????
First of i'm a newbie to posting on this forum but I have been sitting on the sidelines reading and researching.. Don't have a turbo yet but I have decided to purchase a F-Max kit. what I noticed is that the Drag kit comes with a Greddy BOV and the F-Max comes with a HKS Bypass valve.. besides the cool sound a BOV makes is there any difference between them?? or better yet when I get the F-Max will I be able to put in a BOV?
Site is very informative... it has answered alot of my questions..
Thanks in advance..

Now thats interesting!! On their website (www.f-max.com) they have a HKS RACING BYPASS VALVE. My friend has an Audi S4 with a twin turbo setup and a bypass valve in it. It does not produce the psssssssss sound. He is looking to trade his car for a WRX which we test drove and it has a BOV in it.. Of course it makes the pssssss sound..
I quess my question is this would I be able to swap the Bypass valve for a Blow off valve in a F-max kit? Maybe it's just me but if im going to spend the money on a turbo. I want people to know I have a turbo..

a bypass valve routes the pressure back into the intake tract , thats why you dont hear it. a blow off valve vents the pressure into the atomosphere. a stock WRX has a bypass valve that vents the boost pressure back to the intake, therefore, its quiet.
