Default boosting stock b16a

i am planning on boosting my b16a. I wanted to know how much boost the internals can handle. I will be using a toda head gasket which will lower the c/r to about 10:1, and i am going to use the vafc hack, with the 440 injectors.. I was planning on using a t3/t4 turbo, ic (of course). how much will i be able to boost, before having to go internal?

If you don't skimp on the fuel and spark you should be good for about 10psi with no problems
I'm runing .65 bar with no problems.
get a pump, those injectors, v-afc, and something to control you timing and you should be good

A friend on this board has hit 1 bar in a bone stock B16 with DSM injectors and Zdyne. Not sure about the details. I'll see if he's willing to post...

Hybridreams was talking about me. I have hit 1 bar several times on a compltely stock motor. I have actualy gone a little over 1 bar on a couple of occasions. I am not rcommending for you to do this but I personaly haven't had a problem with it. I am sure everyone else will say I am dumb for doing it, but so far so good. I am switching to Hondate when I find the time to install it and will be running 1 bar on that as well after its tuned. Good luck with what ever you do.

Also, not sure you would want to even bother with the Toda head gasket considering that the stock compression is 10.2:1.

he might have a JDM b16a SIRII with 10:4:1 comp...either way i would still run 10psi daily...personally i have the same engine with inline pro 3mm headgasket and plan on running 12 daily and 1 bar at the track.

Yea, good point, could be an SIRII. I can't recommend for him to do the same as me, he might not be as lucky as me.

I ran 9 psi with a bone stock jdm b16 gen 1. This was done with a shitty *** 12:1 fmu and stock 240cc injectors with some cold plugs. I had no problem.

9 psi wasn't fun eough for me so, i ditched it and now building a sleeved low compression block.

I've been runnin my stock JDM B16, boosting between 6-10psi daily and occasionally, spiked to 1bar for about 2 1/2 years <<--- NOT RECOMMENDED!!

-8psi daily(and boost spike) for about 2 years on the 12:1 FMU and inline, stock injectors
-8 months pushing 6-10psi on the AFC hack.

I checked compression a couple months ago and still had about 190 across the board. Personnally, I would recommend no more than 10psi, daily. GL

I made 271HP/188TORQUE on 10psi of boost tuned by Hondata on 93 octane with my B16. I have ran it plenty of times with no problems. I still drop in some 110 leaded when I run 10psi though just to be on the safe side. Boost is relative. You should be asking how much power can a stock B16 handle. Well, so far you have plenty of example including my own. I hope this answers your question. Check my sig!

He's actually asking the right question by wanting to know how much boost a stock B16 can handle on a t3/t4 turbo. If he didn't specify the turbo being used, then you'd be right.
