Default Boosting Problem

I have a problem with my car and I believe I need everybodys idea to solve my problem. I have a 90 Honda civic hatch with the following item:

T3 TURBO W/ MANIFOLD
TIAL 35mm WASTEGATE
BLITZZ BLOW-OFF VALVE
STARION INTERCOOLER
310CC RC ENGINEERING INJECTORS
VORTECH FMU 10:1
MSD 255 FUEL PUMP
3 ONE WAY VALVES (MAP SENSOR)
GUAGES (A/F GUAGE , BOOST, AND OIL)
2.5" PIPING
CUSTOM 2" I/C PIPING
HAN'S RACING ECU(more fuel stup)
GREDDY 2MM HEAD GASKET

here are the issues: I have no problem boosting around 6lbs and i decided to boost a little bit more (8lbs), so i decided to put a manual boost controller, I didn't feel a that much difference..but i notice that i'm leaning out and i feel hesitation on my engine.. I think i'm not putting that much fuel? ..but I have more than enough with my fuel setup. My A/F guage reads rich at idle and at stoich at WOT at 6lbs of boost...but after that 8lbs of boost goal ...it just doesn't seems to work.

I know what you mean. I have the same problems, but it was temporarily fixed because of my boost controller. I have the profec B, and someone (jinx99) told me to adjust mild-sharp **** and it worked.

However it only worked for a bit.

When I boost more than 8psi, my car tends to hesitate. However when I use the right race gas (purple), and cold temp. outside, my car runs great with no hesitation.

Don't exactly know what the problem is, but hopefully I helped a little.

It can also be that Im maximizing the duty cycle of my injectors, but I checked out the calculations and it seemed Im only running approx. 55% duty cycle on my 450cc injectors.

There can be so many issues that can cause that hesitaion, but check your timing and run race gas...see how that works

The best way to go about your problem would be to eliminate a few variables. In order to truly determine if you are running out of fuel you should hook up a fuel pressure guage and watch it while boosting. If you let the boost rise gradually you can make sure your pressure is rising with your boost levels. An A/f meter isnt all that accurate especially as you get further from stoich. Its a good reference, and since you said its reading lean, be careful. You also want to run much richer than stoich when your under boost. you also havent mentioned what type of ignition system you are using. If it is stock, you might be past its capability or providing spark under boost. If you lessen the gap on your plugs youll be able to see if this is the problem. running race fuel will only help if you are detonating. If you hear detonation then that might be a temporary solution. Also check your ignition timing. I run stock timing even under 12 psi of boost on a low compression D16A1. If you want to retard the timing a little and see how that affects things. hope i helped a bit. let us know how it turns out. dean 89turboteg
