Boosting my LS
So i've got 165k on my stock motor right now. i realize boosting that is asking for trouble. What are some vital internals that I should be replacing/upgrading to boost this engine? Not trying to get maximum HP here, would just like a little more power so my car isn't so pussified...just looking maybe 7psi ^_^

Re: Boosting my LS (Wayne_Curr)
if 7 psi is all, do a compression test. if it comes up good, boost what you have. enjoyit. then later if you develop issues, do rods and pistons, with engine management. and again, enjoy it.

Yeap do compression check. Leak down test is better. What's your whp goal? if you're shooting for 250whp and less, you're fine. Remember, stock internals are limited by whp not psi, so you can run small t3 with 10 psi or t3/t04e with 7 psi; they put the same amount of stress
