Default Thinking about boost.

I have a 95 GSR with almost 140,000 miles on the engine. So I figure I should probably rebuild the engine before I decide to boost. Since I will be on a pretty tight budget for the rebuild. Would using LS pistons lower the compression of my GSR? And if so, wouldnt that be the best way to go for boost?

Think harder...think until you're sick of thinking, then think some more.

LS pistons will drop your compression.

Don't boost until you think about it a lot.

yeah, that would probably be your best way to go if your on a tight budget, but your gonna have to keep the boost down a little.

Would that be, because the LS pistons are not as strong? I thought that lowering the compression, would make it easier to use more boost. I know its fine to boost on the stock bottom end of a GSR around 7-10 psi, Thats all I would do with the LS also. I just figure It would be easier on the engine with a lower compression, and a loss of maybe 10 hp? Am I right in thinking this or way off base?

And trust me Im researching a **** load before I even touch the engine. As Im still stuck between N/A or FI.
