270 WHP should be good.

PSI wise? 9psi safely. 12psi is pushing it.
Expected power? 270whp/320whp on 12psi... around there.

All depends on your turbo size, manifold, downpipe size and tuner.

P.S. - Please buy a s2/edelbrock intake manifold when you buy your turbo parts. GSRs have 2 piece intake manifolds which seem to hold back the motor from making power.

This has been covered many times.

PSI is not what you need to be concerned with, horsepower is what will break stock components.

With an efficient tuner, 300whp daily is not a lot to ask for or unsafe, there's tons of guys on here who've pushed the limits of the stock motors and have had great success. Obviously it would be wise to ensure the motor is in heatlhy condition before planning anything.

On a stock motor, the key to having a reliable setup that will make power is using quality parts, proper tuning, and proper maintenance.

I'm confused. How do you make horsepower on a turbo set-up without PSI?

Of course horsepower will do it but you have to crank a boost controller which turns the PSI up which will then make more horsepower.

What are your goals first of all? What turbo do you plan on using? Then from there you can estimate how much psi to push. Then it will determine how much whp your putting down.

You do need PSI, but what they're trying to say is, you could make the same or more power with a larger turbo, but with with a lower PSI. The key here is airflow which is volume of air and not PSI which is a pressure/force. High PSI levels are not always desirable(Heat).

i guess im in trouble I made more than that,

Guys psi is irrelevant. power is the factor.

I was basing my number off the other 239470235702 GSR turbo set-ups out there that have t3/t04e .57 trims.

But yes, if you get something like a 30R/35R, you are likely to make 320whp on 9psi.

My friend made 385whp on 14PSI w/ a 35R, F-R top mount, S2 IM/TB & S2S1 cams on a B16.

lmao..Obviously you need boost pressure to make horsepower on a turbo application, I was inferring that you need to realize your goals and concerns should not be based off how much psi it's going to take, but more focused on what the weakest link can handle, in this case..stock internals, which will fail at certain power levels. Yes, psi needs to be considered i.e. Your understanding that with more boost pressure comes more heat, which has the potnetial to lead to detonation and damage.

For his goals, this is simply not yet necessary. Many GS-Rs have done quite well with their stock intake manifolds until they've reached a higher power level in which a larger plenum would necessary anyway.

In fact i'm getin ready for a bigger set up and crank up da boost....trust me stock is da best for street....i still have fully built motor...but i rather stock for street 10 times better

we usually stop about 300-350 on a stock motor with a good turbo set up. have gone as high as 430 on c16. i think the most boost ive put on a stock gsr was about 22-24psi on race gas. obviously there are risks associated with doing that
