Protective Coatings for turbo components, Vbands, etc.
After a year of completely driving my car on only dry road conditions, I've decided to make it my daily driver and just drive it under all weather conditions. My main concern is protecting most of the turbo components to prevent corrosion, bolt seizes, rust and so on. The plan is to ceramic coat the manifold, downpipe, turbine housings and powder coat the charge pipes. I've noticed some rust developing on all my V-band connections due to using mild steel Vband flanges on my turbine housing and test pipe/cat connections. The clamps have started to lock on to the flanges as well from whatever moisture found it's way there and the clamp bolts are starting to seize up. This will only get worse when I drive it in the rain and snow. Does anyone know of a good spray on coating that can be applied to the clamps and flanges to protect it from water corrosion and rusting? Not really looking for spray paint more like a temporary coating that can last a few months. Similar to products like the ones used on battery terminals to prevent corrosion.
