Default Boosting B18c5 Type-r HELP!!!!

Is boosting a B18C5 Type -R a good idea?
I dont plan to lower the compression for now . just 4-5 psi with stock internals ( is it safe????)
would Greddy e-manage work on p73 ecm . i already have a GT2840 turbo , thats a good turbo right?
later i will do the internals and run 12-14 psi with S300 .
Some help from u guys plz ! ! !'

flame on, but goodfellas type r was dragged with the fmu for 5 years. 3 of which it had stock internals. the engine was built for higher boost with internals, and some ******* stole it. he ran 7-8 psi for 5 years.

But not only does the thought of every setup being differnt but also the fact that the car had forged internals that could take the detonation of his AFC hack, but also no one knows how hard the car was beat on as well as the ARF's the car expierenced as well as the timing. freak case if u ask me. Then again i am drunk and kinda in the **** talking mood

as long as u get a good tune u should be good with 7lbs on that turbo (maybe more) without a problem. it all depends on how good the tune is, especially so on high compression motors.

I am boosting my typeR right now I didnt want to chance the 11-1 compression with boost so I put a thicker headgasket.

ITR's are fun to boost. They spool fast and make killer power. You just have to be a little careful with the compression... but you can counter that of course with tuning and running a little less timing to keep your peak cylinder pressures down.

You can run 7-8psi all day long on a good tune You can run more of course, it just depends on what you 'want' out of the set-up.

Where did you get the thicker headgasket?

I've heard Cometic is good... stack two OEM ones? Will that seriously work?

Im saving up for boost on my ITR. But its been rebuilt for the fact that i spun two bearings so now im running wiseco 9:6 flat top pistons. Didn't really want to destroy an R by lowering the comp but at least know i can boost more.
