Default boosting on b16a

im running a stock b16a w a t3/t4 turbo, a p28 with a p30 map chipped, obd1 conversion harness, 255 fuel pump, fmu, stock injectors, full intercooler setup, generic tial wastegate for now... running on 11 psi since i havent recieved the 7 and 9 lb spring which i have ordered recently. my question is, how safe is it running at 11 psi with this stock setup. i let off as soon as i see the boost spike to 11 and then i let off since i dont want it to blow... isnt this too much boost for a stock b16a? i know it can handle it a few times as i have pushed it already, but i know it wont last too long if i keep it up. whats the ideal set for psi? can i run 9 lbs everyday safely... knowin that i smash on it at least one time a day when i drive it. thanks for any info!

Far far from a TiAL.. And I hear about boost creep issues with those so keep an eye on your boost level..

I personally wouldnt use an fmu but if you do I wouldnt go over 6psi with it..

also, i heard that i wont be needing the fmu after having the p28 with a p30 map chipped ecu? this is because the check engine light turns off, and since its reading everything ok, i shouldnt need the extra fuel pumped in when boost kicks in. does that sound right to anyone?

That wrong, you need some way to add extra fuel and retard ignition timing under boost.. If your ecu is chipped then you can run uberdata and you wouldnt need the fmu witch is a much much better choise.. The check engine light has nothing to do with running boost, if your running a stock map and you start to boost the ecu will throw a code and cut fuel..

IMO you cant/shouldnt run 9psi safely with the fmu. if your p28 has a zif socket then you can run ubberdata/crome to tune the fuel/ignition and throw out the fmu. you will also need injectors

Depending on the power your looking to put out, dsm 450's should work fine..
