Boosting 7-8psi.. Fuel management help NEEDED
So im peicing together a kit..looking to boost anywhere from 7-8psi on my B18b motor... Stock internals..After vigorous hours of searching im completely boggled on what fuel management set up woudl be good for me.. Right now my fuel system and ECU are stock. Would i be good with a SAFC? if so, what other items would be needed? like injectors (size?) FPR? Fuel Pump? or would the SAFC itself be able to cut it? Please help me out.. thanks in advance...

What is this crap?
Re: Boosting 7-8psi.. Fuel management help NEEDED (J337_UNIT)
the SAFC by itself would, in no way, be able to "cut it"
cheapest and least desired solution is going to be Vortech 12:1 FMU and manually retarding timing via distributor.
other than that, start saving up for 550cc injectors, obd2-1 conversion harness, obd1 ecu, and hondata.
if you're an enginner type there is a DIY version of hondata called uberdata but i do not recommend it unless you know what EEPROM stands for, and you've burned yourself a few times with a soldering iron before.

are there any other routes to going about this?
how about 8:1 FMU with 310cc injectors and Fuel pump? woudl this support 8 psi ?

theoretically yes but i think you'll be too rich everywhere except full boost. when you put larger injectors in, you have to change how long they open up at idle and part throttle. thats where stuff like hondata comes in. there may be some other way of hacking it to make it work that i dont know about...

if you want the cheap way out.
Junkyard 450cc injectors + walbro 255hp fuel pump + uberdata.... Seems to be a killer combo for my turbo setup.

I've been running a EGC SMC+ for almost a year with Zero problems.
I did 238whp @ 7psi with a 18G on my Civic SiR.
Of course everybody should have a stand alone but if you want a cheap band aid.
The SMC+ work fine.
