ya with only the afc your ignition is un-tuned. don't do that to your motor. you've spent all that money and skimped on the most important part..

Acura Technician by day and slacker by night....haha, yeah I did it all myself. It wasn't too bad, hardest part was the headgasket. S2K heads arent as easy as B-series.

I will eventually go EMS when I want to run 18+ lbs, AFC tuned right is pretty safe also. We never had any problems with it.

even if there aren't any apparent effects, the unnecessary wear and tear on the motor will be there. you may not be able to see it, but basic engine and turbo theory prove this. not to mention the power loss. i guess if you think the motor is that strong and economically viable then its not much of an issue.

there is this analogy which states that one run down the quarter mile is similar in engine wear to 1000 street miles. just imagine the 24 hours of le mans..

Because that is all they know how to use...i mean hell they can HARDLY get by with tunning the Vafc let along something that requires accually learning and work to do

i love the car, love ur setup and wich u the best luck

but i hate the location of that BOV

they are suposed to be somewhere arounf 12-16 inches away from the throtle body butterfly... i dont like the fact all tha pressurised air needs to back up all the way back to that point in order to Blow off....
but thats just IMO.... hopefully that way works without problems

fyi the full race bov is mounted on the ic, intended to be as close to the compressor as possible.

well like i posted... IMO..... all the books about turbos i have read, and many other tuners have told me so..... thats why i am basing my info on, and thats why i did it like that on my setup also...

but hey.... on their case, it might work better for that setup.......

The car made 320 RWHP @ 14 PSI I believe? With a slipping clutch ... very impressive if you ask me, with just injectors and S-AFC, NO FMU!

It made 320hp on 12psi and 240 torque in 3rd gear. The clutch was slipping at 7K rpm in fourth gear so the run was made in 3rd gear which nets 15-20hp difference. The boost for some reason didnt hold 14psi steady to redline, it would hit 14 then drop to about 10-11 at around 6500rpm. After I get a new clutch in and fix the boost problem it should have no problem reaching around 375hp. Yes the clutch is stock.

The A/F ratio was good also, around 12:1 13:1 until the boost dropped off which then it went down around to 10:1. Ahhh...the problems of boost come back to haunt me! Other than that, its a beast on the street, no tire spinning since it has massive traction being RWD.
