Default est. hp at these boost ranges

The seals on the ford tbird turbo blow so I got a deal on my buddy turbo for $300 its a t3/t4 60-1 turbo. I'm going to put it on my car at 5 psi of boost. here is my setup again:

8:5.1 compression
ARP head studs
tec 2 engine management
#52lb injectors
conquest intercooler
2.5in dump pipe for exhaust

How much HP do you think it will make at 5psi and at 10psi? also in your opinion how much boost do you think I should run? with how much timing? I'm planning on buying the turbo this Friday or two weeks from now. I'm also going to be running a Audi 5000 external wastegate.

you'll make around 800hp @ 5psi, and about 1200hp @ 10psi

thats only if you tune conservatively though.
your setup is good for way more power than that.

That's why they were kidding. It's great that you picked up a 60-1 for such a great price, but it won't do anything at 5psi for your application, it's way in front of the surge line, and you'll get nothing but lag. The turbo will simply sit there and spin looking cute...

Unless you have a better setup to allow more boost, this turbo will not work for you..

in that case

1) only 400 @ 5psi and 800 @ 10psi
2) go away.

tyronne, what model of T4 is it. There's quite a few. Every one of them I can think of will still be asleep at 5psi.

Also, what is the peak RPM the engine it's going onto?

Just as an FYI, you're going to need about 52hp to turn even the smallest T4's compressor, and at 5psi you'd likely be taking a loss, but I'm hella bored so I'll plug the numbers in for ***** and giggles.

I'd otherwise be making fun of you like the rest o these guys, but I'm trying to turn over a new leaf

everybody is way off. i'd say close to a 1,000,000 whp and 750,000 wtq. that's a good estimate, right?

well I was told its a t3/t4 turbo 60-1 with a stage 5 wheel. I'm just rying to see how much hp I can make out of a stock motor then get a crx and see how much hp can be made out of a stock motor and win some money in the process.

the only way to tell how much HP it will make on the crx is if you have one of your freinds step on the gas while you stick your finger in the turbine. If your finger needs only a bandaid, turbo is too big, if your finger needs to be picked up, you'll be making somewhere in the range of 550hp @ 2psi.....

or, you could plot his stats on a compressor map, then convert from lbs/sec to CFM then divide by 1.2

If he had given us enough information, I would have already run the numbers.

The compressor map isn't going to answer the question though, you need a way of finding the airflow (VE, rpm, density).

That's why I was trying to get him to answer some questions that I could use to gather a est. VE, engine RPM, and we alread know the puny amount of psi, but for some reason he seems almost to be intentionally avoiding giving such information so let his dumb-*** go on without knowing.

I say 867hp at 5psi!!

well the scirocco is a 1.8 16v making 125hp from the factory with a conquest intercooler.

the crx I know is a eariler model. I know its a stock one because my buddy brought it from a lady that just didn't take car of the car. he had it and one day it stopped sparking. so its not getting a spark. which I don't care about because whe I get it I'm putting tec 2 or haltech in it. off hanf I have no idea of the motor in the car i know its a 8's model crx. i was planing on running two sets of injectors. one set for gas and another set for alcohol. so whaen I race it switch to alcohol and race but drive it everyday on gas.

That's all nice and some of it is so rediculous that it made me smile, but above all else, none of it has jack to do with ****. Here's what you need to answer in order to get a real world idea of your est hp:

Well, a T4 on your crx is a waste of time and money, I think if I put a T76 on my Moped it would wake up before this kid does........You must have went to school on the small bus!!!!!
